Opel adds Mokka Electric to its lineup with 403km range
Modern, compact, and with an unmistakeable design, the award-winning Opel Mokka is a bestseller for the German brand, earning legions of fans since its launch four years ago.
A newly updated Mokka benefitting from new colours and a crisper, more contemporary styling both on the outside and the inside, arrived on Opel Dealer forecourts in Ireland this spring.
Available in petrol and hybrid from launch, the new-generation Mokka Electric now comes to market in Ireland, to complete the model powertrain portfolio.
Retailing from €30,227 inclusive of SEAI grant and VRT rebate for the Mokka Electric SC model, the compact SUV boasts increased range and performance.
With its 115kW (156hp) electric motor and 54 kWh battery, the new Mokka Electric now offers up to 403km (WLTP) on a full charge. The previous-generation battery delivered an electric range of 324km.
With a kerb weight of just 1,615KG, and thanks to efficient packaging, Opel engineers were able to ensure an exemplary range with a compact battery size.
The space-saving underfloor location of the battery enables a low centre of gravity and ensures that the new Mokka Electric stands confidently on the road.
With 260 Newton meters of torque available immediately, the Mokka Electric provides quick acceleration from a standing start and plenty of driving pleasure.

James Brooks, Opel Ireland Managing Director, said: “Our Mokka is full of timeless character that makes it stands out in the crowd. We have sharpened its contemporary design and added a range of bright new body colours, and a new infotainment system.
“Already available in both petrol and hybrid ahead of the 252-registration period, we have now completed our powertrain portfolio with the arrival of the new Mokka Electric 403km range model.”
He continued, “Even with more power and a longer battery range than its predecessor model, we are introducing this improved range model with particularly keen pricing to remove as many barriers as possible for customers embracing electric motoring.”
“Indeed, our new Mokka Electric is priced under the petrol manual version in Elegance and GS trim. In all trims, the Mokka Electric is more cost effective than its Hybrid equivalent.”
Retailing from €30,227 inclusive of grants, and almost matching the price of the Mokka petrol entry model (€29,995), the Mokka Electric SC price leader model boasts a distinctive style and high level of standard equipment.
This includes newly designed black-grained front/rear bumpers, a chrome-effect front logo and black Vizor frame front face, 16” wheels, a black Modene interior seat trim, extended traffic sign recognition, lane departure warning with lane keeping assist, driver drowsiness alert, forward collision alert, enhanced auto emergency braking with pedestrian detection, six airbags, and cruise control with intelligent speed limiter.
Interior features include electronic climate control, 10” driver information display, 10” infotainment touchscreen, Apple Car Play and Android Auto, USB type C connectivity, DAB radio, Opel Connect, auto high beam assist, rain sensitive windscreen wipers and rear park assist.

Priced from €32,570 inclusive of grants, the level two Mokka Electric Elegance trim is priced less than the petrol version (€32,995) or hybrid equivalent (€35,995).
It retains the same SC visual features and adds as standard, 17” alloy wheels, a heated steering wheel, heated driver and front passenger seats, a front centre armrest, keyless entry and start, adaptive cruise control, blind spot alert, HD touchscreen graphics with integrated Navigation, wireless charging, electrically adjustable/heated/power folding door mirrors, tinted rear windows, electro-chrome rear view mirror, and front and rear park assist with flank guard and 180-degree panoramic rear view camera.
The range-topping level three Mokka Electric GS model, from €33,975 inclusive of grants, also costs less than the petrol version (€34,495) or hybrid equivalent (€37,495).
It gains a painted gloss black roof, 18” alloy wheels, a black logo and Vizor front face trim, high gloss black front/rear bumpers, an integrated black tailgate spoiler, sports alloy pedals and an interior black vegan suede trim, together with Intelli-Lux Matrix headlights, driver seat electrical lumbar adjustment and massage function, a 6-way adjustable passenger seat, and 2 additional USB ports in the rear passenger cabin.
