Myenergi

Myenergi is the manufacturer of the Zappi and Zappi GLO home EV charger models. Founded in 2016, over the past decade, Myenergi has become one of the most well-known suppliers of home EV chargers and green home technology peripherals in Ireland.

Charge with Solar Power

The Zappi was the first EV charger to be designed to integrate with home solar panels for 100% green charging. Today, the Zappi range still remains the charger of choice for solar charging.

Beyond simply using solar energy to charge your car battery, the Zappi multiphase charger comes with two separate modes designed for green energy. These offer different levels of flexibility between solar charging and fast charging.

  • ECO Mode: In Eco mode, the Zappi will rely first on surplus solar energy, but will combine it with grid power if necessary. In ECO mode, the charging speed is continuously adjusted depending on the level of solar power being used in the home. The charger will only rely on grid power if it falls below 1.4kW.

  • ECO+ Mode: This is an enhanced version of ECO mode that mostly operates the same way, but will not use grid power under any circumstances. In ECO+ mode, if the level of solar power available falls too low, the charging session is paused until more solar energy is freed up.

Fast Charging with Grid Power

On top of the solar charging option, the Zappi can also be set to charge as rapidly as possible from the grid in FAST charging mode.

Smart EV Chargers

Myenergi has two different models of EV chargers suitable for home and business needs. These are the original Zappi, and the newer Zappi GLO.

Zappi

The first product from Myenergi, the Zappi multiphase charger contains a host of smart features for home and commercial EV charging, offered at two distinct power levels. 

The Zappi is available in both 7kW and 22kW charging speed models, depending on the power supply available, ensuring that it can fit the needs of any customer.

All of this is wrapped in a highly distinctive, futuristic design that sets the Zappi apart from any other charger on the market.

Zappi GLO

The Zappi GLO is the simpler version of the Zappi, providing a single 7.4kW home charger model. The minimalist design of the GLO eschews on a screen or other hardware indicators for a compact package that is controlled solely through the Myenergi app. 

Despite this minimalist design, the Zappi GLO retains all the smart features of its older cousin. This elevates it beyond a simple plug-and-charge solution, integrating scheduled charging, solar compatibility, and an ecosystem of smart home devices.

Control Your Chargers Remotely

The Myenergi App allows you to monitor EV charging sessions remotely, while changing settings and charging controls from your phone as needed.

The Myenergi app also allows for straightforward integration of different smart devices for your home. This ensures that there won’t be any conflict between a Zappi Charger and an Eddi Power Diverter when both are integrated with home solar.

Smart Functionality

Both models of Zappi include a host of smart features that elevate them above simple plug and charge solutions. These include:

  • RFID Access: Control who can use your charger with RFID controls that allow up to 126 authorised users per charger.

  • Load Balancing: The charger’s strength is adjusted automatically based on the current power consumption in your home to avoid overloads.

  • Tariff Integration: The Zappi can integrate with the latest electricity tariffs in use to ensure that users make use of the most affordable energy rates to charge.

Open Source Compatibility

The Zappi charger range operates Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) communications with EV charging network management systems. This open source platform makes the Zappi easy to use with a wide range of management systems and charging networks without difficulty.

Users can also connect their preferred payment methods and third-party apps and services for commercial charging applications.
