Limerick Climate
Limerick Sunshine
Perhaps surprisingly, Limerick gets plenty of sunshine throughout the year. It does, of course, experience more cloudy days than the sunny southeast.
The city and county enjoy significant amounts of sunshine, especially in spring and early summer.
In April, May and June, the 30 year mean daily sunshine is over 5 hours per day — which is great news for solar energy production.

Limerick Housing
Building Energy Ratings (BER) are a great way of looking at the energy efficiency of buildings in counties across Ireland.
While not all homes have a rating, new builds are required to have one. When a home is sold or rented out an energy efficiecny renview must be carried out to determine the BER, which is information which must be displayed.
The number of A rated properties is 23 percent in Limerick City and and 24 percent in Limerick County. 15 percent have B ratings in the city, compared to 13% in the county.
More than half of buildings have a C or D rating.
