About Briain Kelly

Briain Kelly is a Meath-based journalist, content creator and editor who co-founded Energy Efficiency Ireland in January 2023 with a passion for the ways renewable energy can change society. As a journalist, he has written about many areas of the environment and emerging technology and developed a particular interest in the emerging green economy in Ireland. Since founding EnergyEfficiency.ie he has focused his efforts on researching and writing about the latest developments in green energy sectors such as solar and wind energy, electric vehicles, and heat pumps. In particular, he has focused on how they have the potential to transform the lives of ordinary people in Ireland and help businesses to thrive in a changing economy. Before starting up EnergyEfficiency.ie Briain had worked with Galway Daily since September 2018, covering all aspects of local news and gaining experience with digital media and research skills. Briain has a BA in Arts, an MA in Journalism, and an MA in Digital media from the University of Galway. He has a passion for science fiction and consuming modern history in any medium.
